The X-ES XPedite5570 features the Freescale dual-core QorIQ P2020 processor, up to 4 GB of up to DDR3-800 ECC SDRAM, up to 16 GB of NAND flash, up to 256 MB of NOR flash (with redundancy), PCI Express interconnect, two SerDes Gigabit Ethernet P1 fabric interconnects, dual Gigabit Ethernet, GPIO, I²C, PMC I/O, XMC I/O, USB, and up to two RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 serial ports via the P2 connector.
Elma Bustronic introduced their new 6U VPX Load Board. The load board is designed to be compliant with ANSI/VITA mechanical and electrical connection standards. The Elma Bustronic VPX load board helps confirm the chassis meets the VITA 46/48 power specifications for VPX and aids in locating hot spots within the enclosure. The 6U VPX load card features a microcontroller-based stepped load control to 100W maximum. Go-No-Go indicators are present for 3.3V, 5V, 12V, +12V_Aux, -12V_Aux and 3.3V_Aux.
Pentek rolled out new 3U VPX boards for data acquisition, software radio and digital signal processing. The new boards offer flexible backplane fabric connections supporting maximum data rates of up to 4 GB/sec with PCI Express (PCIe) Generation 2 (Gen 2) and 2.5 GB/sec with other protocols. The 3U VPX boards are ideal for avionics, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), shipboard and airborne radar, and signal intelligence applications.
Elma Bustronic announced a 2-slot test backplane for VPX board developers and integrators. The Elma Bustronic 2-slot test backplane meets the latest VITA 46 specifications. Kontron announced the VX6060 VPX computing blade for parallel data and signal processing applications. The Kontron VX6060 blade features two independently implemented Intel Core i7 processing nodes linked to a Ethernet and PCIe infrastructure. The VX6060 is ideal for intensive parallel computing workloads where a cluster of Kontron VX6060s can be used in full mesh VPX or switched OpenVPX environments. The 6U VPX board comes with EFI BIOS and supports Linux and VxWorks 6.
GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms rolled out the OpenVPX-compatible GRA111 high performance graphics board. The GRA111 features NVIDIA’s new GT 240 GPU (graphics processing unit). It is the first rugged implementation of a CUDA-capable GPU. The GRA111 is the first member of GE Fanuc’s CUDA-enabled products family for military and aerospace embedded computing. The GRA111 board brings supercomputing capability to applications and environments that require leading edge processing such as radar, signals intelligence, and video surveillance and interpretation.
