Kontron introduced the MICROSPACE MPCX60 embedded system. The on-board computers are ideal for public transport vehicles, fleet management, and commercial vehicle control systems. The vehicle computers support Windows, Linux and VxWorks. The pre-series models of the Kontron MICROSPACE MPCX60 vehicle computers will be available at the end of October. Series production starts in December 2012.
American Portwell Technology introduced their PTH-1070A vehicle computer. The carputer features integrated 7-inch LCD, resistive touchscreen, Marvell PXA270 ARM-based processor, dual CompactFlash sockets (optional), four serial ports and two USB host ports. The embedded system is ideal for telematics control terminal, in-vehicle POS terminal and automation control terminal. The Portwell PTH-1070A supports Microsoft Windows Embedded Compact (WEC) 7.0, Android and Linux.
