IEI Technology introduced their IMBA-Q670, IMB-Q670 and KINO-QM670 single board computers (SBC). The IMBA-Q670, IMB-Q670 and KINO-QM670 feature the Intel Q67/QM67 chipset. The IMBA-Q670, IMB-Q670 and KINO-QM670 are available in ATX, Micro ATX and Mini-ITX form factor. The IEI Intel Q67/QM67 series is ideal for gaming, surveillance security monitoring, public infotainment, and high-resolution digital signage.
Kontron announced the ETXexpress-SC Computer-on-Module. The ETXexpress-SC features the Intel Core i7 2715QE quad-core processor, Intel Mobile QM67 I/O Hub, USB 3.0, COM Express basic form factor, enhanced Intel Turbo Boost Technology, Intel Advanced Vector Extensions and Kontron Embedded Application Programming Interface (EAPI) middleware. Samples of the ETXexpress-SC with Type 2 Pin-out will be available this quarter. The type 6 versions will be available in the second quarter.
VIA Labs introduced the VL800 USB 3.0 Host Controller. The VL800 is a single chip solution that enables a PCI Express-equipped platform to interface with up to four SuperSpeed USB peripheral devices simultaneously – double the capability of any currently available USB 3.0 host controller. Samples of the VIA Labs VL800 USB 3.0 Host Controller are now shipping, with motherboards from vendors available from the second half of this year.
COMMELL (Taiwan Commate Computer Inc.) introduced their MPX-7202 USB 3.0 Super-Speed PCI Express mini card. The MPX-7202 board features up to 5 Gbps data transfer when connecting to USB 3.0 compliant peripherals (10 times faster throughput than USB 2.0 standard). The card maintains compatibility with existing USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 peripheral devices.
