Habey USA announced the EMB-4500 board. The EMB-4500 is based on the Freescale i.MX6 processor. The board is available as a standalone, or can be shipped in an OPS module (BIS-6332B) or small form factor fanless chassis (BIS-6332A). The EMB-4500 board is ideal for human to machine interfaces, data acquisition, point of sale, vehicle telematics, digital signage, industrial automation, banking, building controls and connected appliances.
WinSystems announced the ISM-TRM-RELAY and ISM-TRM-COMBO isolated digital signal conditioning and termination boards. The ISM-TRM-RELAY features sixteen independent, Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) relays. The ISM-TRM-COMBO features eight optically isolated inputs, eight optically isolated outputs, and eight Form C relays on one board. The ISM-TRM-RELAY is priced at $299 and the ISM-TRM-COMBO is priced at $255.
Kontron announced four quad-core Kontron Industrial Silent Severs (KISS). All four KISS 2U KTQ45/Flex support Microsoft Windows and Linux. They are available either as a standard configurable system or customized and delivered as a tested and independently-certified solution. The CE certified and UL qualified Kontron Industrial Silent Servers KISS 2U KTQ45/Flex are available in EMEA now and selected models will be available in North America and APAC in late Q2 2010.
Applied Micro Circuits (AppliedMicro) introduced the APM 821xx processor. Samples of the AppliedMicro APM821xx single-core system-on-a-chip (SoC) devices are available now. Production quantities are expected in the second quarter. Packaging is in a ROHS compliant, 18mm X 18mm, 345-ball FBGA. Limited sample quantities of the APM821xx family are available at less than $20 for quantities of 10,000 pieces.
Wind River introduced VxWorks 653 Platform, version 2.3. The latest release of VxWorks 653 features board support packages (BSPs) for the Curtiss-Wright Controls VPX6-185 and the Wind River SBC8641D boards. The RTOS extends hardware support to Intel 32-bit processor architectures, including a BSP for the GE Intelligent Platforms V7768 board. VxWorks 653 Platform now also provides a new power-fail safe DO-178B file system. The real-time operating system for controlling complex, safety-critical ARINC 653 Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) systems is available now.
MatrikonOPC introduced the OPC Server for IEC 61850 protocol. The MatrikonOPC Server for IEC 61850 supports all IEC 61850 compliant devices. It enables users to integrate these devices to the other automation components in the enterprise such as HMIs, Historians, and ERP. Renesas Technology America introduced the RX62T series of microcontrollers (MCU). The RX62T microcontrollers enable embedded systems engineers to offer eco-features for consumer, industrial, and HVAC equipment. The RX62T mcu is ideal for applications such as solar inverters, air conditioners, washing machines, lighting controllers, and power-factor controllers. The 100MHz RX62T microcontrollers are sampling now. Pricing is $3.35 (10K quantity) for the R5F562T7BDFM version (RX62T MCU with 128KB main flash, 8KB data flash, and 8KB SRAM in an LQFP64 package).

DuroPC launched the RAC183, RAC184, RAC185, and RAC186 Front I/O Bracket Industrial Rackmount Computers. The new Duro PC industrial computers feature Intel Core or Pentium processors, ease of access, Front I/O card cage chassis, and 2 front USB ports. All the new Front I/O systems feature Windows XP SP3 and are configurable to specific needs.
Concurrent Technologies introduced the SY VPX/3×3 low-cost, off the shelf, 3U OpenVPX Development Systems. The SY VPX/3×3 consists of the SY VPX/303 and SY VPX/313. Each Development System is a free-standing 3U VPX chassis with a backplane supporting a controller slot and two peripheral slots. The SY VPX/3×3 systems come preconfigured with either an Intel Atom or an Intel Core 2 Duo processor board, each with a x4 PCI Express fabric to the two peripheral slots. Both systems include a 3U VPX Mass Storage module, which leaves the third VPX slot available for an additional board.
