Digi International announced the ConnectCore 3G embedded module. The ConnectCore 3G features Qualcomm Gobi technology, which supports High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) or Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) networks. With ConnectCore 3G, develoeprs can develop one solution for use anywhere in the world with the same hardware. It is ideal for remote device management solutions in energy, fleet management, digital signage, industrial automation, and security/access control applications. Digi ConnectCore 3G Digi JumpStart Kits will be available in December 2010 for $499.
iWave Systems Technologies introduced the iW-RainboW-G8M SoM. The System on Module features the Freescale i.MX51 800MHz multimedia application processor, on board 128MB/512MB RAM, 128MB/2GB Nand Flash, Micro SD with Edge and Expansion connectors, and support for Dual LCD/Camera, Multiple USB/SD/SDIO, TV, SPI, I2C interfaces. iW-i.MX51 SOM supports Win CE 6.0 R3, Android2.1 and Linux 2.6.28 operating systems. The (70mm x 70mm) module is ideal for portable computing applications like industrial handheld, netbooks, nettops, MID, PMP, and PND.
The Witech OK6410 ARM11 development kit features the Samsung S3C6410 microprocessor (clocked to 667MHz), 256MB DDR ram, and 1GB NAND Flash. The OK6410-CORE targets industrial control equipments, vehicle navigation devices, multi-media terminal, and consumer electronic devices. The Witech OK6410 supports Embedded Linux, WindowsCE, Android, VxWorks, and uCos/II. An ARM11 SoM (System on Module) is connected to the OK6410 carrier board by a 320p gilded anti-oxidative connector. Once programmed, the SoM can be detached from the carrier board and inserted like a big chip into test beds, prototypes, and production units for OEM deployment.
e-con Systems introduced the eSOM300 Computer-on-Module. The eSOM300 is based on Marvell’s PXA300 processor. The eSOM module is ideal for embedded systems applications, such as point of sale, handheld and mobile terminals, vehicle mount systems, test and measurement equipment, kiosks, and gaming machines. eSOM300 modules support Windows CE 6.0 R3 and Linux 2.6.x operating systems. The eSOM300 module will be available for sale on April 15th, 2010.
WIN Enterprises introduced the MB-80200 ETX system-on-module (SOM). The MB-80200 supports the Intel Atom N450 and D510 processors (code-named Intel Pineview-M and Pineview-D, respectively). MB-80200 supports Windows 7, Windows Visa ,and Linux. MB-80200 evaluation units will be available early February 2010. The SOM is ideal for portable medical, gaming, entertainment, military, kiosk, and aerospace applications.
