VIA Technologies introduced the VIA eH1, a DX10.1 compliant, multi-display graphics card for embedded systems. The VIA eH1 can be used in conjunction with VIA EPIA board products and supports systems that with a x1, x4, x8 or x16 PCIe slot. Samples of the VIA eH1 are available now. The low profile VIA eH1 PCI Express add-in-board is ideal for digital signage, advertising, POS, POI, gaming, and embedded application where sophisticated graphics and HD video is streamed on two displays.
S3 Graphics launched the Chrome 5400E embedded graphics processor. The S3 Graphics 5400E GPU features a native OpenCL 1.0 engine. OpenCL is an open, cross-platform standard used to harness the power of a GPUs internal shaders to accelerate parallel computations in applications ranging from scientific, medical, and other high performance computing (HPC) markets. Driver support of Microsoft operating systems includes Windows 7 Aero, Vista Aero, XP, and CE. Linux kernel 2.6.xx with support for RedHat, SuSE, Ubuntu, Fedora Core, Debian, and other Linux distributions are supported by the 5400E drivers.
