ADLINK Technology introduced the ETX-PVR Extreme Rugged ETX Computer-on-Module. The Ampro by ADLINK ETX-PVR board includes either the single core Intel Atom N450 processor or a dual core Intel Atom D510 processor. It features Intel’s SpeedStep and Hyper-Threading Technologies, ISA, parallel support, PCI, four USB 2.0 ports, two SATA 3 Gb/s ports, DDR2 memory (up to 2 GB), 4GB solid state drive (soldered), Gigabit Ethernet, two RS-232 ports, and an IDE (PATA) channel. GE Intelligent Platforms introduced the CRS-C2P-3CC1 and CRS-C3P-3CB1 off-the-shelf embedded systems for military vehicles. The CRS-C2P-3CC1 and CRS-C3P-3CB1 feature Freescale-based single board computer, VxWorks real-time operating system, 512Mbytes of RAM, 256MB of Flash memory, Ethernet, serial, USB, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, and discrete I/O. The CompactPCI-based computer systems are ideal for UAVs, manned and unmanned ground vehicles and launch vehicles.
Axiomtek announced the eBOX621-831-FL compact-type fanless embedded computer. The eBOX621-831-FL embedded system supports the Intel Atom N270 processor 1.60 GHz and Intel 945GSE and ICH7M chipsets. It features a 200-pin DDR2 SODIMM socket (up to 2GB system memory), front-accessible CompactFlash slot, temperature range from -10°C to +50°C, and a 9V to 34V wide-range DC power input. Chassis Plans announced the M2U-20A rugged COTS Plus rackmount computer system. The M2U-20A is designed for high shock and vibration environments found in military applications and includes unique features to assure survival in the harshest environments. The system is optimized for installation in transit cases or for mobile installations such as aircraft or vehicular. The M2U-20A is designed to meet 901D in a shock isolated rack and Mil-Std-810G for survival in high-G applications. The M2U-20A is currently shipping in production quantities.
GE Intelligent Platforms introduced the G4ADSP rugged 6U VME multiprocessor. The G4ADSP delivers improved processing performance with four Freescale MPC 7448 processors operating at up to 1.4GHz; improved memory performance through the inclusion of up to 2 GBytes of DDR memory; and improved I/O performance with the incorporation of four Gigabit Ethernet channels and PCI on P0. The G4DSP quad processor is designed for demanding applications such as radar, sonar, image processing, and communications.
