The BTM410/411 and BTM420/421 Bluetooth radio modules, from Laird Technologies, are designed for data applications and are fully integrated, sub-miniature Bluetooth data-oriented modules. The Bluetooth modules feature a full Bluetooth stack, Serial Port Profile (SPP) support, UART interface, and a comprehensive AT command set to allow an easy interface to a host processor. It is the fastest method of adding a Bluetooth wireless data link to an embedded system with wireless connection.
NEC Electronics announced the µPD78F8056 (64 KB), µPD78F8057 (96 KB), and µPD78F8058 (128 KB) 16-bit All Flash microcontrollers (MCUs). The new microcontrollers feature embedded IEEE802.15.4-compliant 2.4 gigahertz (GHz) radio frequency (RF) transceiver for ZigBee RF4CE. The new microcontrollers come with 56 pins and 8x8mm quad flat no-leads (QFN) packages. The µPD78F8056, µPD78F8057, and µPD78F8058 MCUs are ideal for RF remote control and provide the lowest level of power consumption in the industry.
