Habey USA introduced the post-it sized SOM-6670 E6XX Tunnel Creek QSeven computer module. The SOM-6670 packs the CPU, memory controller, and graphics processing unit with HD video encoding/decoding in a single chip. The SOM-6670 (paired with a mini-ITX carrier board) features the Atom E6XX processor, GMA600 graphics, up to 2GB DDR2, six USB 2.0 ports, two gigabit Ethernet, two serial ports, CAN Bus, two Serial ATA ports, SD card reader, mini-PCIe slot and a PCIe x1 slot. The SOM-6670 supports dual independent screens with HD encoding (MPEG2 and H.264).
MSC Vertriebs GmbH announced the MSC Q7-NT2 ARM processor based Qseven module. The MSC Q7-NT2 features the NVIDIA Tegra 290 low-power processor, three PCI Express x 1 channels, up to four USB 2.0 hosts, USB OTG port, serial UART interface, AC 97 audio, 10/100/1000 Base-T Fast Ethernet (IEEE1588 Real Time), I2C (400Kbit/s) and SPI. The Qseven module is ideal for visualization, digital signage, multimedia, entertainment, Internet TV, and harsh industrial applications. The MSC board supports Microsoft Windows CE operating system and Linux.
MSC Vertriebs announced the Q7-TCTC-FD Qseven module. The MSC Q7-TCTC-FD features an Intel Atom E6x0 processor, up to 1GB DDR2-533 SDRAM, a CAN bus, six USB 2.0 host ports and one USB 2.0 client, three PCI Express x1 lanes, LPC, high definition audio, a GBit Ethernet interface, a 70 x 70mm form factor, and an extended temperature range of -40 to +85°C. The MSC Q7-TCTC-FD comes in four versions. The most economic model integrates a 600 MHz Intel Atom E620 CPU. Alternative modules are based on the E640 (1.0GHz) processor, the 1.3GHz E660, or the E680 CPU with 1.6GHz.
MSC Vertriebs introduced a family of Qseven Starter Kits with a 70 x 70mm form factor and Intel Atom processors. The starter kits include a MSC’s 3.5″ Qseven baseboard, a MSC’s Qseven module, heatspreader, heatsink, and an integrated power supply with cable connectors. Each Qseven kit features a ready-to-run Linux installation in the 4Gbyte Flash Disk integrated on the module. A TFT kit can also be ordered. The LCD kit comes with the appropriate cable kit and full implementation in the Qseven module’s Graphics BIOS.
congatec introduced the conga-QA6 embedded computer module. the conga-QA6 is an extended temperature, small form factor board based on the Qseven mobile standard. The conga-QA6 features the Intel Atom processor E6xx Series, the Intel Platform Controller Hub EG20T, PCI Express, Serial ATA, 6x USB 2.0, 2x SATA, 1x SDIO, 3x PCIe, LPC bus, I²C bus, Gigabit Ethernet, High Definition Audio, SPI, and CAN bus interfaces. All components of the conga-QA6 are specified for an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
American Portwell Technology introduced the PQ7-M104G Qseven module. The PQ7-M104G features the Intel’s Atom Z510 (1.1 GHz) or Z530 (1.6 GHz) processor, Intel System Controller Hub (SCH) US15W, 1GB or 2GB DDR2 SDRAM, NAND Flash (4GB with optional upgrade to 8GB), two SATA, three PCI-E x1 lanes (with an option of four), Qseven Golden Finger, and dual independent display via LVDS and SVDO. The Portwell PQ7-M104G is now available. It is ideal for industrial control and automation, gaming machines, medical and portable devices, and COTS military applications.

MSC Vertriebs announced Qseven Starter Kits that are based on MSC’s Qseven modules (70 x 70mm form factor and the Intel Atom processor). The kits are based on the new 3.5-inch platform board Q7-MB-EP1 and offer a variety of interfaces. The kits feature a Qseven Heatspreader, a ready-to-run Linux installation on USB Flash Stick, and a 12V power supply. Optionally, the evaluation kit is available with a TFT panel and cable kit.
