ARM launched their Cortex-A7 MPCore processor. Compared to the Cortex-A8, the Cortex-A7 MPCore application processor is 5x more energy-efficiency and one fifth the size. The ARM Cortex-A7 features big.LITTLE processing, which pairs the best of the Cortex-A15 MPCore and Cortex-A7 processors. Big.LITTLE processing enables devices to seamlessly select the right processor for the right task, based on performance requirements. This dynamic selection is transparent to the application software or middleware running on the processors.
ARM introduced the Cortex-M4 processor for digital signal control (DSC) applications. The Cortex-M4 processor features a single-cycle multiply-accumulate (MAC) unit, optimized single instruction multiple data (SIMD) instructions, saturating arithmetic instructions, and an optional single precision Floating-Point Unit (FPU). The Cortex-M4 processor has been licensed by five leading MCU semiconductor companies including NXP, STMicroelectronics and Texas Instruments.
Analog Devices (ADI) introduced the Blackfin BF50x series of processors for converged digital signal and control processing applications. BF50x processors enable designers to achieve gains in signal conversion and computational precision, and apply advanced power control techniques to yield greater energy efficiency for industrial applications. Blackfin BF50x processors are sampling to today.

The NISE 3140 is designed for image-processing applications such as video streaming, video surveillance, image mapping, visual inspection, and face / feature recognition. The NISE 3140 fanless computer features the Intel graphics media accelerator 4500MHD and the Intel GM45 and ICH9M chipsets. It supports a range of Intel Core 2 Duo and Celeron processors. The Nexcom NISE 3140 is ideal for industrial automation, industrial control, vending machines, self-service kiosk, or infotainment machines.
Renesas Technology America announced the R8A20410BG, which is the first member of the TCAM (Ternary CAM) Series. The R8A20410BG TCAM has a capacity of 20 Mbits and a high-speed search performance of up to 360 MSPS (mega-searches per second)/Table. The R8A20410BG allows expansion up to 40 Mbits through cascade connections. The package is a 576-pin FCBGA (flip chip BGA) measuring 27 mm × 27 mm. Sample shipments will begin this month.
