Kontron introduced the 2.5″ KTA55/pITX embedded single board computer. The SBC features the 1.2 GHz single-core processor AMD T44R or the 1.0 GHz dual-core processor AMD T44N, DDR3 SODIMM module (up to 4 GB RAM), 6 x USB 2.0, 10/100/1000 Ethernet port, three 6.0 Gb/s SATA connections, 8 configurable GPIOs, and small footprint (100 x 72 mm). The Kontron KTA55/pITX embedded supports Windows XP, Windows XP Embedded, Windows Embedded Standard 7 and Linux. The module will available in the third quarter of 2011.
Kontron introduced the KTLX800/pITX single board computer. The embedded SBC features the AMD Geode LX800 500 MHz processor, up to 1 GB of DDR RAM system memory, VGA (DSUB-15, up to 1600 x 1200 UXGA), JILI30 (single-channel LVDS, up to 1280 x 1024, 85 Hz), two serial RS232 serial connectors, Fast Ethernet, SATA, four USB 2.0, 16 configurable GPIOs. The Kontron 2.5-inch Pico-ITX board is ideal for industrial automation and test and measurement. The Kontron KTLX800/pITX SBC supports Windows XP, Windows XP Embedded, Windows Embedded Standard 7 and Linux.
VIA Technologies introduced the EPIA-P830 Pico-ITX board for portable and network connected embedded applications. The VIA EPIA-P830 features a 1.2GHz VIA Nano E-Series processor and the latest VIA VX900 media system processor with additional support for dual Mini-PCIe modules. Other features include VGA, Gigabit LAN, two USB ports, two SATA ports, and DDR3 800/1066 SODIMM system memory (up to 4GB). On board pin headers provide support for a LVDS display, an additional 5 x USB 2.0 ports, a LPC connector, SMBus connector, PS/2 support, audio jacks, LVDS, four pairs of DIO and two UART ports.
Taiwan Commate Computer Inc. (COMMELL) rolled out the LP-171 embedded miniboard. The industrial-grade Pico-ITX is a single board computer based on the Intel Atom processor Z510P procesor and the Intel System Controller Hub (SCH) US15WP. The COMMELL LP-171 embedded motherboard features DDR2 SO-DIMM (up to 2GB), PS/2 keyboard and mouse, 2 x RS232C, Intel 82574L Giga LAN, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, HD audio, CompactFlash socket, PCIE mini card socket, and DC12V input. The LP-171 is ideal for embedded systems like in-vehicle infotainment, industrial control and automation, gaming, diagnotic and therapeutic medical devices, media phones, and retail and transation solutions. The board measures only 10cm x 7.2cm (75% smaller than the Mini-ITX form factor).

The industrial-grade Pico-ITX motherboard is based on the Intel Atom processor single core N450/ D410/ dual core D510. COMMELL’s LP-170 SBC features DDR2 SO-DIMM (up to 2GB), PS/2 keyboard and mouse, 2 x RS232C, Intel 82583V Giga LAN, four USB2.0 ports, HD audio, SATAII interface, CompactFlash socket, and one PCIE mini card socket. The module is ideal for x86 embedded systems.
VIA Technologies developed the Mobile-ITX open form factor specification for the creation of ultra-compact and portable embedded devices. Mobile-ITX defines a uniquely compact 6cm x 6cm computer-on-module specification designed to enable an easier and less resource intensive development cycle for a range of ultra-compact, portable embedded systems. The VIA Embedded Platform Division will announce the first commercial CPU module based on the Mobile-ITX form factor in Q1 2010.
