GE Intelligent Platforms introduced the PCIE-5565PIORC low profile PCI Express reflective memory node card. A reflective memory network is a type of shared memory system that enables multiple, separate computers to share a common set of data. Reflective memory autonomously replicates the contents of one processor’s memory to the memory nodes of all other network members. The PCIE-5565PIORC board is ideal for real-time applications like simulation and training, industrial process control and data streaming and acquisition.
IBASE Technology introduced the MI889 Mini-ITX motherboard. The MI889 module includes a PCI Express x4 that can provide higher I/O bandwidth for SATA controller cards in RAID server applications. The board features Intel Atom N450 (single core) or D510 (dual core) processor with Intel 82801HM I/O controller, up to 2GB of non-ECC system memory in a single DDR2 socket, dual display (VGA and LVDS), dual Gigabit Ethernet, four serial ports, two SATA interfaces, and eight USB 2.0 ports. The IBASE MI889 Mini-ITX motherboard will be available by the end of Q3 2010.
ACCES I/O Products introduced the PCIe-COM family of PCI Express serial communication cards. PCIe-COM features both DB9 and RJ45 connectivity and a selection of 8, 4, or 2-ports of software selectable RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 serial protocols. The serial communication cards include a x1 lane PCI Express connector which can be used in any available x1, x2, x4, x8, x12, or x16 PCI Express expansion slot. Prices range from $179 to $549, depending on model. The PCIe-COM is ideal for retail, hospitality, automation, gaming, defense, point of sale, and kiosk systems.
ADLINK Technology introduced the HDV62 PCI Express high-definition frame grabber. The ADLINK HDV62 features a field programmable gate array (FPGA), 512 MB memory buffer, uncompressed image acquisition and video streaming in full 1080p HD. The frame grabber offers 1920x1080p resolution, progressive scan, and noise reduction for greater image quality. The HDV62 offers the ability to stream uncompressed image to the host PC, in addition to color space conversion in real-time via on-board hardware in order to offload repetitive tasks from the host CPU. The HDV62 is now available with a list price of $999.
