Sena Technologies introduced the Parani-BCD100 Bluetooth v2.0+EDR Class 1 OEM module. The Parani-BCD100 is a Bluetooth Class 1 OEM module for OEM manufacturers who want to implement Bluetooth Class 1 functionality. OEM manufacturers can build their own antenna circuit around the BCD100 to lower the overall cost. The BCD100 is now shipping and available through Sena business partners worldwide. The list price is US$28 or less depending on the purchase volume.
Z3 Technology introduced the Z3-DM365-MOD-05 OEM ready module. The Z3-DM365-MOD-05 supports H.264 codec up to 720p at 30 fps (frames per second) encode and stream in applications such as low bandwidth video security, battery powered A/V (audio/video) recorder, embedded solid-state DVR (digital video recorder), video frame/digital signage, industrial applications and high definition (HD) embedded video sub-systems. The module is based on the Texas Instruments (TI) TMS320DM365 DaVinci video processor.
Broadcom’s Crystal HD technology will be available to OEMs working on video playback on the new Intel Atom processor platform for netbooks. The Broadcom BCM70015 Crystal HD solution will be offered as an option for OEMs designing netbooks using the Intel Atom processor N450 and Intel NM10 Express chipset platform. Crystal HD technology provides netbook users with a rich multimedia experience by enabling cost effective, quality playback of multi-format, high definition (HD) video. Crystal HD will be featured on 2010 netbook platforms from top-tier OEMs such as Asus, Dell and Samsung.
