Habey USA announced their EMB-3500 ARM based Nano-ITX motherboard. The new embedded board features 13 COM ports, USB ports, multiple video output options, SATA port, SD card slot and 4GB onboard NAND storage. The Habey EMB-3500 replaces the MITX-6500 board at half the size with the same number of COM ports. The EMB-3500 motherboard is ideal for touchscreen applications for kiosks, self-service terminals, and digital signage.
GE Intelligent Platforms introduced their rugged IPN251 6U OpenVPX GPGPU Multiprocessor. The GE IPN251 is a second generation 6U OpenVPX multiprocessor module. The board combines the latest NVIDIA 384-core Kepler GPU with the 3rd Generation Intel Core i7 CPU. It fits in a single VPX slot. The IPN251 module is ideal for defense prime contractors and systems integrators.
Connect One launched the Nano WiReach MAX-SMT module. The device supports the 802.11n WiFi standard and an industrial temperature range of -30°C to +85°C. Nano WiReach MAX-SMT features 3G routing, WiFi client and access-point capabilities. The Connect One Nano WiReach SMT is available now. It is priced at less than $29 in high volume.
American Portwell Technology introduced the PCOM-B21A COM Express module. The board features the Intel Dual-Core Atom N2800/2600 processor, DDR3 memory (up to 4GB), four PCIe x1 lanes, eight USB 2.0 ports, VGA, LVDS, DisplayPort (DP), and dual independent displays. The Portwell PCOM-B21A Type 10 COM Express module supports Type 10 carrier board.
Texas Instruments introduced the latest SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3000 module. The TI module features SmartConfig technology, which is a Wi-Fi configuration process that enables multiple in-home devices without displays to connect to a Wi-Fi network via a smartphone or tablet in one easy step. SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3000 pre-production modules are sampling now. Production modules will be available this quarter. The self-contained module is priced at $9.99 in 1,000-unit quantities.

WinSystems announced their PPM-PS397-POE-1 Power over Ethernet Powered Device (PoE-PD) DC/DC supply for a PC/104-Plus compatible computer board stack. The PS397 is available in two other standard configurations with custom engineered solutions also available for OEM applications. The PCM-PS397-POE-1 is a PC/104 module and the ISM-PS397-POE-1 is an Industry Standard Module (ISM) without the PC/104 and PC/104-Plus connectors populated for use with small embedded systems.
