The CraneBoard is a low-cost ARM-based development board. The open source printed circuit board (PCB) isbased on Texas Instruments’ (TI) AM35x Sitara ARM Cortex-A8 microprocessor (MPU). The CraneBoard features Power over Ethernet (PoE) and Controller Area Network (CAN) bus interfaces. Both the PoE and CAN interfaces can be used in industrial applications such as human machine interface (HMI), and CAN is also suitable for automotive applications. The CraneBoard is available for at $199 from Mistral and DigiKey.
The Ashling Opella-XDS560 is a high-performance JTAG debug probe that supports all Texas Instruments (TI) platforms. The Opella-XDS560 works with TI’s Code Composer Studio (CCStudio) integrated development environment (IDE). It seamlessly plugs into the CCStudio environment enabling convenient debugging of application code that is actually running on the target system. Opella-XDS560 supports CCStudio version 3.3 and version 4 and is available for $1,495 (US). Opella-XDS560 is also available as a bundled solution with the OMAP3 EVM for $2,499 (US).
