Microchip Technology launched the PIC24FJ128GC010 microcontroller family. The new PIC24FJ128GC010 MCU devices are available now for sampling and volume production. Prices start at $2.59 each in volume. The PIC24FJ128GC010 (128 KB Flash) and PIC24FJ64GC010 (64 KB Flash) are available in 100-pin TQFP and 121-pin BGA packages. The dsPIC33FJ32MC102, dsPIC33FJ32GP102 and PIC24FJ32MC102 devices are offered in 28-pin SOIC, SSOP, QFN packages, as well as a 36-pin VTLA package. Microchip Technology released the next generation SMSC JukeBlox Wi-Fi connectivity platform. The product includes the JukeBlox 3.1-AAP Software Development Kit (SDK) and the new CX875 Wi-Fi Network Media Module. Samples of the CX875 with JB3.1-AAP are available now. Production orders will be accepted in December 2012. Production pricing for the CX875 with JB3.1-AAP is $15.50 each (in quantities of 25,000 units per year).
