Mercury Computer Systems introduced the Ensemble Series OpenVPX LDS6521 and the OpenVPX SBC3510 modules. The 6U LDS6521 and 3U SBC3510 are based on the second generation Intel Core processor family. Mercury’s LDS6521 and SBC3510 are available in air-cooled and conduction-cooled rugged versions. The LDS6521 supports two XMC mezzanine sites, an Intel Core i7-2715QE processor, and supports (via POET) serial RapidIO Gen 1 and Gen 2 or low latency 10 Gigabit Ethernet to the backplane/dataplane. The SBC3510 combines a single XMC mezzanine site and a dual-core Intel Core i7-2655LE processor. The modules are ideal for ISR, defense, and aerospace applications.
Mercury Computer Systems introduced the Ensemble 6000 Series 6U OpenVPX Intel Core i7 LDS6520 Module. The LDS6520 embedded computing board features the Intel’s Core i7 Arrandale processor family and the POET (Protocol Offload Engine Technology) fabric interconnect. The LDS6520 enables a serial RapidIO or low latency 10 Gigabit Ethernet data plane to connect a number of Intel Core i7 processors and FPGAs. The Mercury LDS6520 Intel Core i7 6U OpenVPX module also features low latency streaming fabric interfaces for rugged embedded defense applications.
Mercury Computer Systems introduced the Ensemble 6000 6U SBC6521 multi-plane-enabled 6U module. The SBC6521 combines a single Intel Core2 Duo processor with the I/O capabilities of dual XMC/PMC sites in the standard 6U OpenVPX form factor. The module was designed and optimized for high-density processing, high memory bandwidth, and I/O in a single OpenVPX slot within an ISR subsystem. The module is ideal for high-end data plane and expansion (co-processing) plane systems.
The Ensemble 6000 Series 6U OpenVPX GSC6200 GPU Processing Module, from Mercury Computer Systems, is ideal for embedded rugged defense surveillance platform, performing processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED). The GSC6200 module is a dual-site MxM carrier module that can be populated with either one or two MxM modules. The MxMs on the GSC6200 can support either ATI or nVIDIA GPUs. Each MxM module supports two single-link DVI interfaces from each MxM site to the front panel and the backplane for carrying uncompressed digital video data.
Mercury Computer Systems introduced Echotek Series RFM-1802RF with Synthesizer ADV-1800S Dual-Channel Wideband Microwave Tuner, DCM-V6-XMC Digital Transceiver, and DCM-V5-VXS Virtex-5 Based FPGA Digital Receiver for Electronic Warfare (EW) applications. The new Echotek Series products integrate open-standards technology across the signal processing chain to enhance EW capabilities for the warfighter.
