Interface Masters Technologies introduced the Niagara 42×64 and 42×84 family of 1 Gigabit Low Profile Quad Port server adapters. The new 1 Gigabit NICs are based on the Intel 82580 Quad MAC/PHY Ethernet controller. Niagara 42×64 and Niagara 42×84 are ideal for telecommunications, ISP, IT network security, UTM, intrusion detection and prevention, Storage Area Networks (SAN) and WAN acceleration. The Niagara 42×64 will be available for evaluation in late November and will be in full production early December 2010. Volume pricing for the copper NIC starts at $370.
Interface Masters Technologies introduced the Niagara 3218 Quad Segment 10 Gigabit Link aggregation TAP system. The Niagara 3218 consists of Quad Link Aggregation TAP segments which possess full 10 Gigabit and 1 Gigabit monitoring capabilities. Each segment can support multiple TAP methodologies as well as Multi-Mode fiber (SR) and Single-Mode fiber (LR) media configuration for 10Gb speeds and Multi Mode fiber (SX), Single Mode fiber (LX) and Copper (TX) for 1Gb speeds. In addition, eight additional link aggregation TAP ports are available for networking monitoring and mirroring of any port. The Niagara 3218 is available for evaluation and will be in production in mid August of 2010.

The switch supports Copper, Multi-Mode and Single-Mode Fiber Gigabit Ethernet options. The Niagara 2292 is designed to integrate with Inline Networking Servers, including WAN Acceleration, UTM, IPS Systems, and Security and Monitoring Appliances such as Firewalls, IDS systems, and Analysis Probes. The bypass switch features passive bypass functionality for maximum network-uptime and performance.
