The Epson-based graphics-controller board is available now for $119.99. The 7″ touch-panel LCD daughter board is available now for $269.99. The 5.7″ touch-panel LCD daughter board will be available in June for $269.99.
Microchip Technology introduced the Multimedia Expansion Board and enhanced mTouch Cap Touch Evaluation Kit. The Multimedia Expansion Board enables development of highly interactive, graphics-based interfaces with network connectivity. The enhanced mTouch Cap Touch Evaluation Kit adds a new board for implementing capacitive touch sensing with the PIC32. The Multimedia Expansion Board (part # DM320005, $249.99) and the enhanced mTouch Cap Touch Evaluation Kit (part # DM183026-2, $99.95) are both available now.
Microchip Technology launched the mTouch Projected Capacitive Development Kit and the PIC16F707 8-bit microcontroller (MCU). The PIC16F707 features two 16-channel Capacitive Sensing Modules (CSMs) that can run in parallel for increased sampling speed. The microcontroller is priced at $0.99 each in volume. The mTouch kit enables designers to integrate projected capacitive touch-sensing functionality into applications with a single MCU. The mTouch projected-capacitive touch-screen sensing kit and PIC16F707 MCU are available now.

The QuickSense sensing solutions are ideal for portable, consumer, and industrial electronics products.
