Axiomtek announced their NA-340FL network appliance. The fanless platform is based on the 1.8 GHz Intel Atom D525 dual core processor and Intel ICH8M chipset. The NA-340FL features six Gigabit Ethernet ports, DDR3 SO-DIMM memory (up to 4GB), 2.5″ SATA HDD, CFast socket, console port, two USB 2.0 ports, and a PCI Express Mini card (USB-type). The Axiomtek NA-340FL is ideal for VPN, content filtering, UTM, network security gateway, and firewall applications. The network appliance is available now.
WinSystems introduced their PXM-GIGE Gigabit Ethernet module. The PXM-GIGE is SUMIT-ISM compatible, and is designed for high-speed networking connectivity for small form factor, industrial embedded applications. The Gigabit Ethernet module supports Linux, Windows, and other x86-compatible real-time operating systems. Free drivers are available. The WinSystems PXM-GIGE board is available for $199 each.
NORCO and Habey USA introduced the MITX-6934 mini-ITX board. The MITX-6934 embedded board features the Intel next generation Atom N2800/D2550 processor, two external USB 2.0 ports, four internal USB 2.0 ports, two serial ports, LAN bypass segment, DDR3 SO-DIMM slot (up to 4GB of memory) and an internal VGA output port. The MITX-6934 low profile mini-ITX board is ideal for network security appliance applications.
WinSystems introduced the PPM-GIGE-2 PC/104-Plus Dual Gigabit Ethernet Controller. The dual channel module features two Realtek RTL8110 devices. It offers self-stacking I/O expansion on PC/104, EPIC, and EBX SBCs based on the PC/104-Plus form factor. PPM-GIGE-2 is ideal for industrial embedded applications. A single channel version, PPM-GIGE-1, is also available. The two-channel PPM-GIGE-2 is priced at $199 and the single channel PPM-GIGE-1 is priced at $149.

Extreme Engineering Solutions introduced the XPort3301 board. The X-ES XPort3301 is a dual 10GBASE-T 10 Gigabit Ethernet XMC module. The XPort3301 is offered in both an air-cooled, commercial version (0 to 55°C) to a rugged, conduction-cooled version (-40 to +85°C). It is ideal for applications requiring cost-effective, high-bandwidth communications such as remote sensor interfacing, traffic aggregation, storage, and data center networks.
Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) introduced the XPort3300 XMC Module. The conduction- or air-cooled XPort3300 features dual 10 Gigabit and x8 PCI Express 2.0 port. Front panel I/O for the 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces can be provided with either dual optical SFP+ fiber optic connectors or a single RJ-45 10GBASE-T connector. The XPort3300 also supports rear 10GBASE-T I/O through the P16 connector, and utilizes X12d I/O mapping per VITA 46.9. The XPort3300 supports automatic negotiation down to 1000BASE-T if the 10GBASE-T port is connected to a Gigabit Ethernet device.
Interface Masters Technologies introduced the Niagara 3218 Quad Segment 10 Gigabit Link aggregation TAP system. The Niagara 3218 consists of Quad Link Aggregation TAP segments which possess full 10 Gigabit and 1 Gigabit monitoring capabilities. Each segment can support multiple TAP methodologies as well as Multi-Mode fiber (SR) and Single-Mode fiber (LR) media configuration for 10Gb speeds and Multi Mode fiber (SX), Single Mode fiber (LX) and Copper (TX) for 1Gb speeds. In addition, eight additional link aggregation TAP ports are available for networking monitoring and mirroring of any port. The Niagara 3218 is available for evaluation and will be in production in mid August of 2010.

The small form factor appliance features Intel 945GSE Express chipset, Intel Atom processor N270, four Gigabit Ethernet ports, Intel 82583V LAN chip, 2.5″ SATA hard disk drive bay, CompactFlash card interface, DDR2 SODIMM slot (supports 400/533 memory up to 2GB), DB9 console port, two USB 2.0 ports, and power connector. The NA-813FL supports the Linux kernel 2.6 operating system. The NA-813FL network appliance platform will be available at the end of August, 2010.
GE Intelligent Platforms introduced the NETernity CP921RC-30x 6U CompactPCI 24-port Gigabit Ethernet switch. The CP921RC-30x is a fully managed Layer 2/3+ switch with support for ‘future-proof’ IPv6 switching and routing. It is ideal for applications in telecommunications, industrial, and military systems. The switch is available in two models: 24 GigE ports per PICMG 2.16 (all rear I/O) and 22 GigE ports per PICMG 2.16 plus 4 front panel ports (two 10 GigE and two 1 GigE). The CP921RC-30x features OpenWare switch management software. OpenWare features VLANS, Port Mirroring, Multicast, MSTP, SNMP, Trunking, port security, port authentication, and denial of service prevention.
