Energy Micro EFM32 Wonder Gecko Microcontroller

Energy Micro introduced the EFM32 Wonder Gecko microcontroller. The EFM32 Gecko MCU features the ARM Cortex-M4 processor, which provides a full DSP instruction set and a dedicated floating point unit (FPU). The EFM32 Wonder Gecko also utilizes the eLL (extreme low leakage) process for low-power operation in active and sleep modes. The Wonder Gecko microcontrollers is available now for $2.64 each in 100k units.

Texas Instruments introduced the 32-bit, real-time C2000 Piccolo F2806xU microcontrollers. The new TI MCUs feature integrated USB 2.0 connectivity, CAN peripherals, and 12-bit, 3 MSPS, analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The F2806xU Piccolo microcontrollers are available in various configurations to meet a variety of performance, memory, peripheral and package size requirements. Prices start at $4.95 in 1k volumes.

Texas Instruments C6A816x Integra DSP + ARM Processors

Texas Instruments (TI) launched the C6A816x Integra digital signal processor (DSP) + ARM processors. The DSP is dedicated for intensive signal processing, complex math functions and image processing algorithms, while the ARM is available for graphical user interfaces (GUIs), network connectivity, system control and application processing under multiple operating systems. The two new devices in the C6A816x Integra DSP + ARM generation are the C6A8168 and C6A8167 processors. The C6A816x Integra DSP + ARM processors are sampling now. Pricies starts at $46 per 1,000 units (1ku) for the C6A8167 Integra DSP+ ARM processor and $49 per 1ku for the C6A8168 Integra DSP + ARM processor.

SHARC 2148x series processors are available in a range of package options including 176-ld and 100-ld LQFP packages, with pricing starting at $8.20. SHARC 2147x series processors are available in package options including 12x12mm BGA and a 14x14mm LQFP, with pricing starting at $7.85. Processors are sampling today.
