The PIC32MX5/6/7 family is ideal for communications (point-of-sale terminals, Web servers, multi-protocol bridges), industrial/medical (automation controllers, medical devices, security monitoring), consumer/appliance (audio, MP3 decoders, displays, small appliances, fitness equipment), and automotive (aftermarket, car alarms, GPS).
Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) introduced the XPort3300 XMC Module. The conduction- or air-cooled XPort3300 features dual 10 Gigabit and x8 PCI Express 2.0 port. Front panel I/O for the 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces can be provided with either dual optical SFP+ fiber optic connectors or a single RJ-45 10GBASE-T connector. The XPort3300 also supports rear 10GBASE-T I/O through the P16 connector, and utilizes X12d I/O mapping per VITA 46.9. The XPort3300 supports automatic negotiation down to 1000BASE-T if the 10GBASE-T port is connected to a Gigabit Ethernet device.
Interface Masters Technologies introduced the Niagara 42×64 and 42×84 family of 1 Gigabit Low Profile Quad Port server adapters. The new 1 Gigabit NICs are based on the Intel 82580 Quad MAC/PHY Ethernet controller. Niagara 42×64 and Niagara 42×84 are ideal for telecommunications, ISP, IT network security, UTM, intrusion detection and prevention, Storage Area Networks (SAN) and WAN acceleration. The Niagara 42×64 will be available for evaluation in late November and will be in full production early December 2010. Volume pricing for the copper NIC starts at $370.
Ethernet Direct introduced the RWM-824 Ethernet I/O module. The RWM-824 features a built-in web server that provides eight isolated open collector (source type) output and eight isolated wet contact (sink, source type) digital input channels. Each output channel supports 300mA current driving @ 10 to 40VDC and each digital input channel supports counter input (32 bits and 500Hz max).
Axiomtek rolled out the iCON-31000 series of industrial serial device servers. The Axiomtek iCON-31000 is an economical way to quickly network-enable any serial device in the harsh factory floor conditions. The iCON-31000 series is ideal for infrastructure deployments, such as building automation, oil field automation, factory automation, and ITS. The iCON-31000 industrial serial device servers are now available.
The Kontron OM6090D and OM7090D MicroTCA platforms are designed for high-end AdvancedMCs and are compliant with the MTCA.1 specification. The OM6090D and OM7090D feature a 10 Gbit/s Ethernet switched backplane. In their maximum configuration, the systems can be fitted with up to 36 Intel XEON processor cores and a full 216 GB of RAM. The Kontron OM6090D and OM7090D MicroTCA platforms are available now.
Conemtech introduced the M50-34 module for high accuracy time and frequency synchronization. The M50-34 enables any device with an Ethernet interface to synchronize to a PTP master clock in the network at 100ns accuracy by just re-wiring the Ethernet interface. The M50-34 reduces the components count, simplifies the layout and lowers the board manufacturing cost for products requiring external packet based synchronization. The M50-34 will be sampling by end of this month.
GE Intelligent Platforms introduced the NETernity CP921RC-30x 6U CompactPCI 24-port Gigabit Ethernet switch.
