Radicom Research introduced the RB510 Embedded Bluetooth Modules for OEM’s. The RB510 series Bluetooth audio module features an embedded DSP core, stereo CODEC, flash and antenna. VIA Technologies introduced their VAB-800 Pico-ITX embedded ARM board. The VIA VAB-800 module features a Freescale ARM Cortex-A8 processor, Mini HDMI, VGA display port, four USB 2.0 ports, 10/100 Ethernet port, up to 64GB eMMC Flash memory, 1GB DDR3 SDRAM, support for a SATA port, two single channel LVDS display ports, two COM ports, CAN Bus, front pin headers for line-in/out and MIC-in, SDIO pin header and eight GPIOs. The VIA VAB-800 Pico-ITX board is sampling now.
NORCO announced the Automatic Fare Collection System (AFC) family. The AFC series include the AFC-6571, AFC-6572, AFC-6573, and AFC-6574 embedded systems. The industrial computers consist of a central computer, code/sorting machine, station computer, AFC field apparatus (in/out gate, bidirectional gate, ticket vendor, office ticketing machine and automatic ticket checker), tickets and communication network. They are ideal in gates or turnstiles, automatic and semi-automatic ticket vendors.
Kontron introduced their KTA70M/mITX embedded Mini-ITX motherboard. The new mainboard is based on the new AMD Embedded R-Series Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) and AMD A70M controller hub. The KTA70M/mITX features up to 16 GB RAM, Gen 2.0 PCI Express x8 PEG port, Gen 2.0 PCI Express x4 slot, four USB 3.0, ten USB 2.0, and two GbE-LAN. Kontron introduced the ARM based KTT30/mITX embedded motherboard. The KTT30/mITX includes an ARM Cortex-A9 Quad Core 900MHz processor with NEON technology. The Kontron embedded motherboard features the NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, HDMI 1.4a and 24-bit LVDS video interfaces, three USB 2.0 ports, two RS232, two PCIe slots, RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port and analog audio I/O’s. AMD announced the AMD Embedded G-T16R Accelerated Processing Unit (APU). The AMD G-T16R APU enables small form factor and fanless designs. It has a power consumption of only 2.3 watts on average or 4.5 watts thermal design power (TDP). The AMD Embedded G-T16R is targeted at very low power, small form factor and cost-sensitive embedded designs that require a combination of x86 compatibility and graphics. It is ideal for point-of-sale order entry stations and tablets, medical bedside terminals and solar-powered traffic control devices.

The KTQ77/Flex features the 3rd generation Intel Core processor (up to 3.8 GHz), up to 32 GB DDR3 RAM, two DisplayPort, CRT, LVDS, PCI Express x16, two PCI slots, four USB 3.0, ten USB 2.0, and three GbE-LAN ports. The Kontron KTQM77/mITX can be equipped with either the dual-core or quad-core 3rd generation Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors with up to 2.7 GHz (3.5 GHz in Turbo) or with the dual-core Intel Celeron processor B810 (1.6 GHz). Cortus introduced the APS3R embedded microcontroller. The processor core features a 32-bit modern RISC architecture with sixteen 32-bit registers and a 5-7 stage pipeline. Cortus developed the APS3R for applications requiring good computational performance and very low power. The IP core is ideal for wireless communication, sensing, smart cards, SIM cards, touchscreen controllers and energy harvesting applications. A dual core configuration is possible for demanding embedded applications.
WinSystems introduced the PPM-GIGE-2 PC/104-Plus Dual Gigabit Ethernet Controller. The dual channel module features two Realtek RTL8110 devices. It offers self-stacking I/O expansion on PC/104, EPIC, and EBX SBCs based on the PC/104-Plus form factor. PPM-GIGE-2 is ideal for industrial embedded applications. A single channel version, PPM-GIGE-1, is also available. The two-channel PPM-GIGE-2 is priced at $199 and the single channel PPM-GIGE-1 is priced at $149.
