Ocular introduced their 15-inch Crystal Touch projected capacitive (PCAP) touch panel. The new larger size projected capacitive touch panel is ideal for environmentally challenging embedded systems and applications made for multiple users to use simultaneously. VIA Technologies launched the Nano X2 E-Series processors for 64-bit x86 embedded system design applications. The processor combines two 64-bit, superscalar VIA Nano cores on a single die. The low power VIA Nano X2 Series processor is available in two speeds: 1.2+ GHz and 1.6+ GHz. VIA Nano X2 E-Series Processors are sampling now. VIA Technologies introduced the AMOS-5001 Em-ITX chassis kit for fanless embedded systems. The VIA AMOS-5001 chassis kit makes it easy to create x86 embedded systems that can withstand a wide temperature range of -20°c to 55°c and are capable of sustaining a g-force of up to 50. The modular chassis consists of only four mechanical parts. The case is slim enough to fit in even the most space-constrained environment (35.2 mm high x 231 mm wide x 124.8 mm deep). GE Intelligent Platforms introduced the CRS-C2I-3CC1 and CRS-C3I-3CB1 embedded systems. The CRS-C2I-3CC1 and CRS-C3I-3CB1 feature a single board computer with Intel Core processors, 1 Gbyte of RAM, 4 GBytes of Flash memory, Ethernet, serial, USB, CANbus, MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC 429. The CompactPCI computers include Linux, Windows or the VxWorks real-time operating system. The GE CRS-C2I-3CC1 (2-slot) and CRS-C3I-3CB1 (3-slot) are ideal for unmanned vehicles, launch vehicles, and commercial helicopters and aircrafts.
VIA Technologies introduced the Eden X2 dual-core processor for industrial and commercial embedded systems. VIA Eden X2 processors combine two 64-bit, superscalar VIA Eden cores on one die. The Eden X2 are natively 64-bit compatible. VIA Eden X2 processors are based on the latest 40nm manufacturing process using a VIA NanoBGA2 package of 21mm x 21mm with a die size of 11mm x 6mm. VIA Eden X2 processors and are fully pin-to-pin compatible with VIA Eden, VIA C7 and VIA Nano E-Series processors. VIA Eden X2 Processors are sampling now.
