Kontron introduced the VX3905 3U OpenVPX PCI Express and Ethernet hybrid switch. The VX3905 features up to 4 x 6 Gen1/Gen2 PCIe backplane ports for the data plane and up to 24 PCI Express Gen 1/Gen 2 ports for up to 32 lanes which can be configured (x8, x4, x2 and x1) depending on the required bandwidth. The Kontron VX3905 PCI Express and Ethernet hybrid switch is available now in an air-cooled (0°C to +55°C) and conduction-cooled version (-40°C to + 85°C).
Diamond Systems introduced the Opal-MM-1616 PC/104 I/O module. The Opal-MM-1616 board features 16 unidirectional optoisolated inputs and 16 relay outputs. It is supported by Diamond’s Universal Driver software library. The Universal Driver software is a high-level programming library for all of Diamond’s data acquisition products. The OPMM-1616-XT is ideal for industrial automation, transportation, energy, instrumentation, aerospace, military, and medical markets and applications. The Opal-MM-1616-XT Optoisolated Input and Relay Output PC/104 Module is available now for $195.
The Acromag APMC4110 busless PMC module carrier card enables the use of a PMC module in an independent stand-alone mode. The APMC4110 carrier card powers a PMC module and regulates the PCI bus start-up sequence to prevent a system lock-up by the connection to the local bus. For troubleshooting, a 14-pin Xilinx JTAG connector facilitates boundary scan debugging. Pricing for the Acromag APMC4110 starts at $275. The busless carrier card is ideal for custom computing applications based on a re-configurable FPGA module operating independently of VME, CompactPCI, or other bus-level resources.
Diamond Systems introduced the Aurora single board computer (SBC) for small form factor (SFF) embedded computing. The Aurora single board computer features the Intel 1.6GHz Atom Z530 processor, SODIMM RAM (up to 2GB), Gigabit Ethernet, USB Flashdisk, Serial ATA (SATA), four RS-232 serial ports (two with RS-422/485 capability), four USB 2.0 ports, PS/2 keyboard and mouse, and both SUMIT-A and PC/104 ISA bus expansion. Diamond Aurora SBC samples are shipping within 30 days. Aurora pricing in OEM volumes starts in the upper $400s.
