GreenBase Technology launched the GK-5432 module. It is the industry’s first ARM Cortex-A15 based computer on module. The GK-5432 is based on the industry new ULP-COM standard for ARM and SoCs. The GK-5432 features the Texas Instruments’ OMAP5432 dual-core ARM Cortex-A15 processor. The module is backed by TI’s longevity program for embedded applications.
Kontron announced their V Panel Express now supports the Intel Core i7 dual-core processor. The panel PC’s feature up to 8 GB DDR3 memory, 5x USB (1x front, 4x rear), LAN 10/100, LAN 10/100/1000, 2x RS232 and DVI-I. Kontron’s CE certified Panel PC family V Panel Express is now available in EMEA and North America. They are ideal for industrial high-performance applications.
Blue Chip Technology recently introduced the RM3 single board computer. The ultra small SBC is based on the Freescale dual and quad core ARM Cortex 9 processors. The system on module supports dual high resolution independent displays (HDMI/DVI, LVDS, RGB), CAN, SATA, USB, UART, I2C and camera. Current OS support includes Linux and Android operating systems. Windows Embedded Compact 7 and Windows 8 support will be available soon. The RM3 SBC is ideal for digital signage, telematics, industrial control, instrumentation, medical devices and data logging applications.
Texas Instruments introduced their Concerto F28M36x microcontrollers. The 32-bit MCU integrate real-time, precise control provided by its C28x digital signal processor and advanced connectivity enabled through its ARM Cortex-M3 core, plus on-chip peripherals. The TI F28M36x microcontrollers are ideal for motor control, renewable energy and smart grid applications that require power conversion, remote data sharing, diagnostics, monitoring and control from a single device. Concerto microcontrollers are priced at $6.99 each (in quantities of 1,000 units).
congatec introduced their conga-CCA COM Express module. The conga-CCA is a Type 2 pin-out board. The module is available in three variants: Intel Atom N2600 processor, Intel Atom N2800 processor, and Intel Atom D2700 processor. The conga-CCA features up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, Intel NM10 chipset, four PCI Express x1 lanes, two SATA 2.0, eight USB 2.0, and a Gigabit Ethernet interface. The congatec conga-CCA is available now. Prices start at less than $225 in evaluation quantities.
Kontron introduced their COMe-cCT6 COM Express compact Computer-on-Module. The Kontron COMe-cCT6 board features two 1.6 GHz or two 1.86 GHz Intel Atom processors (N2600, N2800 and D2550), Intel NM10 Express chipset, integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3600/3650, up to 4 GB of on-board DDR3 800/1600 system memory, two SATA II 300MB/s interfaces, eight USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and three PCI-Express x1 lanes. Samples of the Kontron COMe-cCT6 are available now. Series production will start in June.
Axiomtek introduced their EP100 EPIC embedded board. Options for the EP100 module include either the AMD G-Series APU dual core T56N with Radeon HD 6320 graphics or AMD G-Series APU single core T40R with Radeon HD 6250 graphics. The board features the AMD A50M FCH, up to 4 GB of DDR3 1333 memory, three display outputs, dual gigabit LAN ports, and two PCI Express Mini card expansion interfaces. The Axiomtek EP100 EPIC board will be available at the end of next month. It is ideal for high-end medical imaging, digital signage, kiosks/POI, thin clients, and gaming machines.
Congatec introduced the conga-TCA Type 6 Pin-out COM Express module. The conga-TCA supports the Intel Atom N2600 processor, Intel Atom N2800 processor, and Intel Atom D2700 processor. The board features up to 4GB single-channel DDR3 memory, five PCI Express x1 lanes, two SATA 2.0, eight USB 2.0, two optional USB 3.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet interface, fan control, LPC bus, and Intel high definition audio. The COMe-mCT10 is ideal for handheld mobile embedded systems, as well as small portable, in-vehicle or stationary devices such as POS/POI, infotainment, digital signage, gaming and medical.
