WinSystems announced the ISM-TRM-RELAY and ISM-TRM-COMBO isolated digital signal conditioning and termination boards. The ISM-TRM-RELAY features sixteen independent, Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) relays. The ISM-TRM-COMBO features eight optically isolated inputs, eight optically isolated outputs, and eight Form C relays on one board. The ISM-TRM-RELAY is priced at $299 and the ISM-TRM-COMBO is priced at $255.
Mercury Computer Systems introduced Echotek Series RFM-1802RF with Synthesizer ADV-1800S Dual-Channel Wideband Microwave Tuner, DCM-V6-XMC Digital Transceiver, and DCM-V5-VXS Virtex-5 Based FPGA Digital Receiver for Electronic Warfare (EW) applications. The new Echotek Series products integrate open-standards technology across the signal processing chain to enhance EW capabilities for the warfighter.
STMicroelectronics rolled out the L3G4200DH 3-axis digital-output gyroscope. The L3G4200DH motion sensor features a FIFO (first-in first-out) memory block for smarter power management. The FIFO memory block stores up to 96 levels, split in 32 sample sets of x-, y-, and z-axis data. The FIFO can be programmed for several different operating modes to raise a dedicated watermark (reference) interrupt when the memory is filled to a desired level. Volume production is scheduled for mid Q3 2010 and the unit price is $2.9 in quantities of 200,000 pieces.
Axiomtek announced the DSA-146 digital signage platform. The DSA-146 is a 46-inch full HD wide TFT LCD. It combines the low power Intel Celeron M 575 2.0 GHz or high performance Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 2.53 GHz processor with Intel GM45 chipset. The DSA-146 is ideal for shopping mall, corporate, education, hospitality, religious organization, bank, transportation, retail store, restaurant, and theater locations. The DSA-146 will be available in the middle of February, 2010.
STMicroelectronics introduced the LSM303DLH digital compass module. The LSM303DLH geomagnetic module combines magnetic-field and linear-acceleration sensing with an I²C digital interface in a single package. The LSM303DLH module features high accuracy, small form factor, and low power consumption at a competitive cost. The ST LSM303DLH digital compass is ideal for enhanced electronic compassing in portable consumer applications (such as direction finding, map/display orientation, location-based services and pedestrian dead reckoning).
STMicroelectronics introduced the FLI7510 full high-definition (FHD) H.264/MPEG System-on-Chip (SoC) ICs for the worldwide flat-panel digital TV (DTV) market. The FLI7510 is the first member of the new family (codenamed ‘Freeman’) of performance- and software-scalable SoCs, addressing mainstream and high-end segments of the DTV market. The FLI7510 is designed to meet the increasingly stringent system-energy consumption standards for ‘green’ consumer electronics equipment. The FLI7510 SoC is now sampling to qualified customers.
NEC Electronics introduced the 78K0/KC2-C (three 48-pin variants) and 78K0/KE2-C (three 64-pin variants) 8-bit All Flash microcontrollers (MCUs). The 78K0/KE2-C and 78K0/KC2-C microcontrollers feature with built-in CEC (consumer electronic control) controller and embedded flash memory. The new MCUs enable interdependent control of digital audio/video (AV) applications such as flat-panel TVs and Blu-ray disc players. NEC Electronics’ new MCUs with on-chip CEC controllers allow the CPU to be powered off during standby mode and speed up CEC and HDMI certification process while reducing power consumption and the need to develop custom software.
Fresco Microchip luanched the FM1151, which is a single-chip solution that delivers fully integrated universal analog audio/video demodulation (NTSC, PAL, SECAM) and digital IF processing for the global hybrid terrestrial (DVB-T/T2, ATSC, ISDB-T, DTMB) and cable (DVB-C/ITU J.83) television markets. The FM1151 lowers system solution costs and offers excellent television performance. The FM1151 is in production now and samples are available to qualified customers.
