Microtune MT3141 Tuner for Worldwide Digital TV

Microtune launched the MT3141 world-standard radio frequency (RF)-to-baseband IC. The Microtune MT3141 is based on a new, highly integrated silicon architecture. The MT3141 single chip enables TV manufacturers to use a smaller, higher-performance, and more cost-effective receiver for next-generation global digital television designs. The MT3141 tuner is available now to early access customers in a 6.0 mm x 6.0 mm 40-pin QFN package. It is priced at $2.00 in high volume. Microtune also offers a MicroCeiver MT3141 evaluation board and reference design.

Microtune MicroCeiver IC Platform for Digital and Cable TV Electronics

Microtune’s MicroCeiver platform is an ultra-small, low-cost technology platform for the digital TV and cable TV markets. The MicroCeiver platform packs radio frequency (RF) analog and digital signal processing system on a single chip. The radio frequency-to-baseband solution offers the building-block architecture for a new family of fully integrated front-end receivers that will bring low cost, miniature footprints and excellent signal reception quality to manufacturers creating next-generation digital televisions, set-top boxes, cable entertainment hubs and IP video electronics. The MicroCeiver architecture will reduce engineers’ development time and production costs, while enabling them to create consumer products for global markets that span multiple applications, product lines and international television reception standards.
