The non-volatile MCP47X6 DACs feature buffered 8-,10- and 12-bit voltage output options and integrated EEPROM. The MCP4706, MCP4716 and MCP4726 DAC chips are available in 6-pin SOT-23 and 2 mm x 2 mm DFN packages. Prices ranging from $0.51 to $0.69 each (in 10,000-unit quantities). Analog Devices (ADI) announced the AD9148 high-speed quad DAC (digital-to-analog converter). The AD9148 is a 16-bit, high dynamic range DAC with a sample rate of 1000 MSPS. The AD9148 device is optimized for direct conversion transmit applications, including gain, phase, and offset compensation. The DAC outputs are optimized to interface seamlessly with analog quadrature modulators. Prices start at $58.60 each (in lots of 1,000).
