IBASE Technology announced the AMI200-953 barebone embedded system. The AMI200-953 features the IBASE MI953AF Mini-ITX motherboard, Intel Core i7-620M (2.66GHz) processor, aluminum housing, 4GB of DDR3 memory, 40GB of industrial-grade hard disk drive, DVI-D, VGA CRT, serial port, eight USB, PS/2 KB/MS, audio, DC-in jack and 80W power adaptor. The small footprint IBASE system is ideal for multimedia, digital signage, automation, and medical applications in environments where space on the desktop is important.
Concurrent Technologies introduced the VX 81x/09x and TR 80x/39x single board computers. The new SBCs support the quad-core Intel Core i7-2715QE processor and the dual-core Intel Core i5-2515E processor. The VX 81x/09x features up to 16Gbyte of ECC DDR3 SDRAM, configurable PCI Express fabric interface, dual Gigabit Ethernet, dual SATA600, dual PMC / XMC slots, dual serial RS232/422/485 ports, 6 USB 2.0 ports, dual independent display ports, on-board Compact Flash and optional 2.5 inch hard drive. The TR 80x/39x features up to 8Gbyte of ECC DDR3 SDRAM, configurable PCI Express fabric interface, dual Gigabit Ethernet or dual 1000Base-BX channels, dual SATA600, single XMC slot, serial RS232/422/485 port, dual USB 2.0 ports, independent VGA and display port all in a 3U VPX form factor.
ADLINK Technology recently introduced the Express-HR, cPCI-3970, and NuPRO-E340 embedded boards. The Express-HR is a COM Express module that features the Intel Core i7 processor, Intel QM67 Express chipset, PCI Express Gen2, and SATA 6 Gb/s. The cPCI-3970 is a 3U CompactPCI blade that features the Intel Core i7 processor and Intel QM67 Express chipset. The NuPRO-E340 is a PICMG 1.3 System Host Board based on the Intel Core i7/i5 processor and Intel Q67 Express chipset.
Freescale Semiconductor launched their MSC8157 and MSC8158 digital signal processors (DSP). The new digital signal processors are the next generation of the Freescale MSC8156 DSP. The MSC8157 and MSC8158 DSP devices are based on Freescale’s SC3850 core running at 1.2 Ghz, which recently earned the highest BDTIsimMark2000 fixed-point performance score of any DSP architecture tested to date by independent signal-processing firm Berkley Design Technology, Inc (BDTI). The Freescale MSC8157/58 DSPs will start sampling to selected customers in Q1 2011.
Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) introduced the XPedite7330 Single Board Computer (SBC). The XPedite7330 3U CompactPCI board features the Intel Core i7 processor (2.53, 2.0, or 1.06 GHz), Intel QM57 chipset, DDR3-1066 ECC SDRAM (up to 8 GB), PrPMC/XMC support, NAND flash (up to 16 GB), and two Gigabit Ethernet ports. Operating system support packages for the X-ES XPedite7330 include Wind River VxWorks, QNX Neutrino, Green Hills INTEGRITY, and Linux. The module is ideal for telecommunications, military, and other embedded applications.

The IBASE module is available with the Intel Core i3-330E 2.13GHz processor. The MI957 Mini-ITX motherboard is ideal for digital signage, gaming, POS, kiosk and multimedia sectors.
Concurrent Technologies introduced the TP 702/38x 3U Single Board Computers. The TP 702/38x CompactPCI SBC family features the Intel Core i7 processors, up to 8 Gbytes of DDR3-1066 ECC SDRAM, an optional XMC site, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two SATA disk interfaces, and optional graphics. The TP 702/38x single board computers support Linux, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003, Windows 7, Windows 7 Embedded, Windows XP Embedded, Windows XP, Solaris, VxWorks and QNX.
DarbeeVision introduced the DV3000 Visual Presence IP core. The DV3000 inserts depth cues to create images that seem to pop off the screen. The DV3000 improves images by using digital logic to process an image in the same way a human brain does and then adding these results back into the original image, making them better than what the most camera and display systems can produce. The DV3000 IP core is now available for licensing.
National Instruments introduced the NI PXIe-8133 quad-core embedded controller. The PXIe-8133 features the Intel Core i7-820QM processor, 2 GB of DDR3-1333 MHz RAM, and the option of Windows XP or Windows 7 32-bit operating system. For memory-intensive applications, engineers can upgrade to 8 GB of system RAM and the Windows 7 64-bit OS. The NI PXIe-8133 controller also is available with an extended temperature option and solid-state hard drives for harsh environments.
BCM Advanced Research introduced the BC57Q Intel Q57 based industrial ATX motherboard. The BC57Q features the LGA1156 socket H and the Intel Q57 Express Chipset. The BC57Q integrates the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and the memory controller into the Intel Core i7, i5 and i3 desktop processors while combining the other functionality of the North and South bridges into one single Controller Hub. The BC57Q industrial ATX motherboard will be available in July, 2010.
