Mercury Computer Systems introduced the Ensemble 6000 Series 6U OpenVPX Intel Core i7 LDS6520 Module. The LDS6520 embedded computing board features the Intel’s Core i7 Arrandale processor family and the POET (Protocol Offload Engine Technology) fabric interconnect. The LDS6520 enables a serial RapidIO or low latency 10 Gigabit Ethernet data plane to connect a number of Intel Core i7 processors and FPGAs. The Mercury LDS6520 Intel Core i7 6U OpenVPX module also features low latency streaming fabric interfaces for rugged embedded defense applications.
ADLINK Technology announced the cPCI-6510 series of 6U CompactPCI blades. The cPCI-6510 features a 32nm Intel Core i7 processor with 2.53 GHz clock speed and up to 3.2 GHz maximum turbo frequency. The blade supports dual-channel DDR3-1066 SDRAM soldered onboard memory with ECC up to a maximum of 8 GB and utilizes the Mobile Intel QM57 Platform Controller Hub. The ADLINK blade is validated for use with Windows XP, Windows 7, Linux, and VxWorks. The cPCI-6510 is now available with a list price starting at $3199.
The NEXCOM NISE 3500 embedded system features an Intel 32nm dual-core Core i7 processor, Mobile Intel QM57 PCH, Intel Active Management Technology, Intel Turbo Boost technology, and 1080p HD video playback. I/O interfaces include two Intel GbE Ethernet ports, 3 x RS232 and 1 x RS232/422/485 6x USB, 6x USB, 8x GPIO, 2x SATAII and 2x eSATA. The NISE 3500 is ideal for retail, POS, kiosk, large-scale industrial automation, medical diagnosis, medical imaging, and video surveillance. Emerson Network Power announced the CPCI7203 embedded single board computer. The Emerson Network Power CPCI7203 CompactPCI blade is based on Intel Core i7 processor. The module supports the new CompactPCI PlusIO specification (PICMG 2.30), which supports data transfer rates of up to 5 Gbps. The CPCI7203 PICMG 2.30 3U processor board is ideal for industrial, medical and military/aerospace applications, such as railway control, semiconductor manufacturing, robotics, image processing, vehicle communications and on-board flight information systems.
American Portwell Technology introduced the PCOM-B216VG-VI Type VI COM Express Basic (small footprint) module. The PCOM-B216VG-VI board is based on the Intel Core i7 processor and the Mobile Intel QM57 Express chipset. The Portwell PCOM-B216VG-VI is ideal for retail automation, medical equipment, healthcare automation, industrial process control, portable devices, gaming machines, VoIP, COTS military, and digital signage.
Concurrent Technologies introduced the VP 717/08x family of 6U VME boards for embedded applications. The modules support the 2.53GHz Intel Core i7-610E, 2.0GHz Intel Core i7-620LE and the 1.06GHz Intel Core i7-620UE. The boards feature up to 8 Gbytes of DDR3-1066 ECC SDRAM, dual PMC/XMC sites, and VITA 31.1 support. The VP 717/08x VME boards support Linux, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Embedded, Windows XP, Solaris, LynxOS, VxWorks and QNX. The VP 717/08x boards areideal for CPU intensive processing applications in the defence, homeland security, industrial control, and transportation industry.
ADLINK Technology introduced the Ampro by ADLINK Express-CBR COM Express Type 2 Computer-on-Module (COM). The Express-CBR COM Express module features the Intel Core i7 processor (up to 2.0 GH) and the Mobile Intel QM57 Express chipset. The Express-CBR is designed for the harsh environments. The Express-CBR module is ideal for the aerospace, military, defense, transportation, and gaming industries. Single unit pricing of the Express-CBR starts at $1,299. The Express-CBR will begin sampling within 30 days.
Kontron announced the AM4020 single-width AdvancedMC processor module. The AM4020 features the new Intel Mobile Core i7 processor, Intel QM 57 Platform Controller Hub, and up to 2 x 2.53 GHz. The highly-integrated Kontron AM4020 AdvancedMC processor board is available now in both mid- and full-size formats. It supports Windows XP, Windows 7,VxWorks 6.8, RedHat 5.3, SUSE 11.2, and Wind River Linux PNE 3.X.
IBASE Technology introduced the MB950 ATX motherboard. The MB950 features Socket H (LGA1156) and supports the Intel Core i7, Core i5, and Core i3 processors. The motherboard is based on the Intel Q57 chipset. A maximum of 6GB memory can be configured in four DDR3 socket at 1066/1333MHz. The MB950 board is ideal for the latest generation of POS, kiosk, automation, gaming, and multimedia applications.
ADLINK Technology introduced the Express-CB COM Express module. The Express-CB supports the 64-bit Intel Core i7 / i5 processors and Mobile Intel QM57 Express chipset. The Computer-on-Module is ideal for medical diagnostic equipment, medical imaging, portable medical devices, instrumentation, industrial automation, transportation, data storage, infotainment, gaming, video preprocessing, POS, and Kiosk. Samples of the Express-CB will be available in limited quantities at the end of February 2010. Production quantities are expected to start shipping in Q2 2010.
