Extreme Engineering Solutions introduced their XPedite5401 conduction-cooled PrPMC/XMC module. The X-ES XPedite5401 supports the Freescale QorIQ P3, P4, and P5 processor families. The module features two channels of DDR3-1333 ECC SDRAM, up to 8 GB (4 GB each), up to 16 GB of user flash and 256 MB of boot flash (with redundancy), two Gigabit Ethernet ports, a x4 PCI Express interface to P15, and two SATA 3.0 Gb/s ports to P16. The XPedite5401 is available now.
Altair, by Diamond Systems, is a rugged EMX Basic single board computer (SBC). It is based on the 1.6GHz Intel Atom E680T CPU. Altair features dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, 1GB or 2GB of DDR2 DRAM soldered on-board, LVDS and VGA graphics interfaces, four serial ports, and four USB 2.0 ports. The Altair COM Express single board computer will be available next quarter. Prices start at $795.
The Ensemble 6000 Series 6U OpenVPX GSC6200 GPU Processing Module, from Mercury Computer Systems, is ideal for embedded rugged defense surveillance platform, performing processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED). The GSC6200 module is a dual-site MxM carrier module that can be populated with either one or two MxM modules. The MxMs on the GSC6200 can support either ATI or nVIDIA GPUs. Each MxM module supports two single-link DVI interfaces from each MxM site to the front panel and the backplane for carrying uncompressed digital video data.
