CommAgility introduced the AMC-4C6678 Advanced Mezzanine Card. The AMC-4C6678 module features four of the latest TMS320C6678 fixed- and floating-point octal core DSPs from Texas Instruments (TI) running at 1.25 GHz, giving a total performance of 640 GFLOPS and 1280 GMACS. The AMC-4C6678 is available now. It is ideal for high performance DSP applications like image sensor processing, telecoms and stepper.
CommAgility introduced the AMC-2C6616 and AMC-2C6670 AdvancedMC modules. The AMC-2C6616 features the TI TMS320TCI6616 System-on-Chip (SoC) base station, and is ideal for LTE wireless base station applications, including development, trials and final deployment in the field. The AMC-2C6670 is based on the TI TMS320C6670 digital signal processor (DSP), and is ideal for high-performance applications in the mission critical, including public safety and defense, medical and high-end imaging and test and automation and other multicore high performance applications. The AMC-2C6616 and AMC-2C6670 will be sampling in January 2011.
The CommAgility AMC-2C87W3 digital baseband module features L1 PHY (physical layer), L2 RLC/MAC (Radio Link Control/Media Access Control), S1/X2 interface, and security processing for LTE (Long Term Evolution) or WiMAX. The AMC-2C87W3 integrates the PHY, RLC/MAC, transport (including all backhaul and air interface security) and antenna connectivity requirements of eNodeB into a compact single width solution. It provides end-to-end data handling from raw radio IQ data through to backhaul IP packets. The Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC) will be available in March 2010.
CommAgility introduced the AMC-3D74 Advanced Mezzanine Card module. The module features nine DSP cores (three Texas Instruments TMC320C6474 multicore DSPs), a Xilinx Virtex-5 FPGA, and a front panel Serial RapidIO (SRIO) interface. The AMC-3D74 is ideal for test equipment and general purpose DSP processing applications. The AMC-3D74 is available now and is shipping in volume.
