Axiomtek introduced their rBOX103 DIN-rail fanless embedded system. The rBOX103 supports the Intel Atom Z510PT and Z520PT processors. The embedded box features 2 GB DDR2 system memory, two CAN 2.0 A/B interfaces, serial ports, two isolated Ethernet (one 10/100/1000Mbps and one 10/100Mbps), USB 2.0 ports, VGA output, and CompactFlash socket. The Axiomtek rBOX103 will be available at the end of January 2012. The embedded system is ideal for CAN-based applications that need high-speed transmission and efficient error detection mechanisms.
Acromag introduced the IP560 and IOS-560 CAN bus modules for interfacing network sensors and actuators to control systems. The IP560 is an Industry Pack ANSI/VITA-4 card that plugs into VME, CompactPCI, and PCI bus mezzanine carrier cards or single-board computers in embedded systems. IOS-560 is designed for use within Acromag’s I/O Server industrial PC, which is a small fanless box computer for mobile computing, machine control, and test applications. Both CAN bus interface modules feature two channels with optional isolation. Each channel has an NXP SJA1000 CAN controller with a TJA1041 transceiver. Extended temperature models support -40 to 85°C operation. Single quantity pricing starts at $500.
HEM Data rolled out the DAWN Mini Logger for in-vehicle diagnostics. It is the industry’s smallest high speed data logger. The DAWN Mini Logger is small enough to fit within the mating OBD (J1962) connector under the dashboard. Its small size means it is easy to install. The mini-data logger just snaps onto the OBD (On-board Diagnostics) connector. It is then ready to acquire data and is hidden from the driver.
