Vecow introduced their VSM-200 series 4-ch/8-ch video/audio capture card. The extended temperature board is ideal for industrial level systems that require small footprint and steady performance under harsh environments. The VSM-200 features the Stackable Unified Module Interconnect Technology (SUMIT) interface. VSM-200 series have closely spaced pins (fine pitch) to minimize the board space. The low pin count MX1 and MX2 MCUs feature 61 DMIPS performance, up to 32 KB of Flash and 8 KB of SRAM, two I2S interfaces, Microchip’s Charge Time Measurement Unit (CTMU) peripheral, 8-bit Parallel Master Port (PMP) interface, 13-channel Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC), USB 2.0, dedicated audio and capacitive-sensing peripherals. The PIC32MX110F016B and PIC32MX220F032 MCUs are available in 28-pin SPDIP, SSOP, SOIC and QFN packages; and in 44-pin QFN, VTLA and TQFP packages. Dialog Semiconductor introduced the DA9057 system level power management IC. The DA9057 is a highly integrated power management, audio and user interface controller for multimedia players, portable navigation systems and other handheld devices. The DA9057 features five on-board dc/dc converters that support 24-bit stereo audio headphone playback on a 5mW power budget. The DA9057 combines a flexible power sequencer with a fully programmable filter/mixer engine to support a wide variety of ARM-based multimedia processors.
The STA370BWS SoundTerminal chip, from STMicroelectronics, features ST’s Full Flexible Amplifier (FFX) technology. The STA370BWS offers high-quality stereo audio at 10W and above, in various consumer applications, including the latest ultra-thin LED-backlit Flat TVs. The STA370BWS SoundTerminal chip is the first in a new generation of ST’s SoundTerminal portfolio. The portfolio currently includes the STA333BW, STA335BW, STA339BW, STA339BWS, and STA369BWS. The STA370BWS has a resale price of $2.50 for 10,000-piece orders. It is now sampling to lead customers.
Fresco Microchip luanched the FM1151, which is a single-chip solution that delivers fully integrated universal analog audio/video demodulation (NTSC, PAL, SECAM) and digital IF processing for the global hybrid terrestrial (DVB-T/T2, ATSC, ISDB-T, DTMB) and cable (DVB-C/ITU J.83) television markets. The FM1151 lowers system solution costs and offers excellent television performance. The FM1151 is in production now and samples are available to qualified customers.
