The nanoRISC S3C2416 board features the Samsung ARM9 S3C2416 processor (clocked at 400MHz) up to 128 Mbytes of DDR2 DRAM, up to 1 Gbyte of NAND Flash, and microSD card slot for additional Flash memory. Datasound Laboratories introduced their Matrix-522 Linux-ready ARM9-powered, embedded industrial computer. The Matrix-522 features dual CAN (Control Area Network) bus 2.0 ports, two LANs, two RS-232/422/485 serial ports, two USB hosts and 21 GPIOs. The pre-installed Linux 2.6.29 OS includes SocketCAN, the open source CAN driver and network stack to enable multiple applications access to a single CAN device simultaneously. Texas Instruments rolled out Microsoft Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 board support packages (BSPs) for OMAP-L1x floating-point DSP+ARM9 processors, Sitara AM1x ARM9 microprocessor units (MPUs) and associated evaluation modules (EVMs). The new BSPs enable developers to easily and quickly interface devices to Embedded CE. The BSPs include drivers and source code. Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 BSPs for OMAP-L1x and AM1x devices can be downloaded now for free.
