Analog Devices Introduces ADSP-CM40x Mixed Signal Control Processors

Analog Devices introduced the ADSP-CM40x mixed-signal control processors. The ADSP-CM40x integrates the industry’s only embedded dual 16-bit A/D converter with up to 14 bits of accuracy together with a 240-MHz floating-point ARM Cortex-M4 processor core. The new ADI ADSP-CM40x devices enable engineers to plug their designs directly into an environment for model-based design using MATLAB and Simulink software. This streamlines the workflow from system modeling to controller deployment to verification and certification.

Energy Micro EFM32 Wonder Gecko Microcontroller

Energy Micro introduced the EFM32 Wonder Gecko microcontroller. The EFM32 Gecko MCU features the ARM Cortex-M4 processor, which provides a full DSP instruction set and a dedicated floating point unit (FPU). The EFM32 Wonder Gecko also utilizes the eLL (extreme low leakage) process for low-power operation in active and sleep modes. The Wonder Gecko microcontrollers is available now for $2.64 each in 100k units.

Texas Instruments Introduces Tiva C Series ARM Cortex-M4 Microcontrollers

Texas Instruments introduced the Tiva ARM microcontrollers. The Tiva C Series TM4C123x ARM Cortex-M4 MCU is the first device of the new platform. It is the first Cortex-M-based MCUs to be built on 65 nanometer flash process technology. The Tiva C Series TM4C123x MCUs, formerly known as Stellaris LM4F MCUs, are in production now. Pricing for the TI Tiva ARM microcontroller starts at $2.15 at 10K quantities. They are ideal for home, building and industrial automation.
