GE Intelligent Platforms introduced the XVR16 6U VME rugged single board computer. The XVR16 SBC is based on the quad-core 4th generation Intel Core i7 architecture (Haswell). The GE XVR16 single board computer is available in five build versions from air-cooled to fully rugged. The SBC is ideal for ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance), sonar and radar applications.
GE Intelligent Platforms introduced their rugged IPN251 6U OpenVPX GPGPU Multiprocessor. The GE IPN251 is a second generation 6U OpenVPX multiprocessor module. The board combines the latest NVIDIA 384-core Kepler GPU with the 3rd Generation Intel Core i7 CPU. It fits in a single VPX slot. The IPN251 module is ideal for defense prime contractors and systems integrators.
Extreme Engineering Solutions announced the XCalibur4402 single board computer. The 6U CompactPCI SBC supports the third generation Intel Core i7 processor. It features up to 16 GB of DDR3-1600 ECC SDRAM in two channels, two PrPMC/PrXMC slots, 32 MB of NOR flash, up to 128 GB of NAND flash, Gigabit Ethernet, SATA, I2C, USB, PMC I/O, XMC I/O, and DisplayPort. Kontron introduced their CP6004-SA 6U CompactPCI processor board. The CP6004-SA is scalable up to the quad-core 3rd generation Intel Core i7-3615QE processor with 4 x 2.3 GHz (3.3 GHz in Turbo mode). It features the Intel QM77 Express Chipset, integrated HD 4000 graphics, 6MB cache, up to 16GB of 1600 MHz DDR3 ECC SO-DIMM memory, six SATA ports with RAID 0/1/5 functionality, six USB 2.0 ports, two RS232 ports, three independent graphics interfaces (VGA and two DVI/HDMI) High Definition Audio (HDA) interfaces, and five Gigabit Ethernet.

The new single board computers are based on the Freescale QorIQ P2020 processor. X-ES offers all P2020-based products in both air-cooled, commercial (0 to 55 °C) to rugged, conduction-cooled (-40 to +85 °C) versions with appropriate shock and vibration testing. Kontron introduced the VM6050 6U VME single board computer. The Kontron VM6050 SBC features an Intel Core i7 processor, Intel QM 57 controller hub, up to 8 GByte of soldered ECC memory, and on-board USB flash support. Dedicated interfaces on the front include dual Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0, and serial port (SR-232/422/485). There are 2x Gigabit Ethernet, 2x SATA II, 2x USB 2.0, PCI Express x4, SRIO, GPIO and 32 I/Os for PMC 1 implemented on the backplane via the PO plug (VITA 31.1).

The GE DSP280 features RDMA-enabled 10 Gigabit Ethernet, Double Data Rate (DDR) InfiniBand dual port NICs, 16 GBytes of ECC memory, 16 GBytes of solid state disk, up to 1.8 GBytes/second data rates per channel, memory-to-memory latencies of 1µs, 260+ Gigaflops peak performance and main memory bandwidth of up to 21 GBytes/second per CPU node.
