HABEY USA introduced their BIS-6545 embedded system. The BIS-6545 features the Intel Atom N2800/D2700 processor, Intel NM10 chipset, five Gigabit Ethernet ports, WiFi/3G capability, six USBs, COM, VGA, HDMI, SATA2, SATA3 (6gb/s), and mini-PCIe slots. The fanless HABEY BIS-6545 embedded system is ideal for networking, IP-based applications, NVR, medical, industrial automation, and digital signage.
Digi International announced the ConnectCore 3G embedded module. The ConnectCore 3G features Qualcomm Gobi technology, which supports High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) or Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) networks. With ConnectCore 3G, develoeprs can develop one solution for use anywhere in the world with the same hardware. It is ideal for remote device management solutions in energy, fleet management, digital signage, industrial automation, and security/access control applications. Digi ConnectCore 3G Digi JumpStart Kits will be available in December 2010 for $499.
u-blox introduced the LISA family of small, ultra-fast wireless modems. LISA is ideal for ultra-portable devices requiring high speed wireless Internet access (such as mobile computing, car infotainment, telematics systems, hand-held terminals, automatic meter reading, fixed wireless terminals, telehealth, remote displays and point of sales terminals). Samples and evaluation kit will be available in early Q1, 2011. Operator and standards bodies’ certification is in progress.
