Amplicon Introduces Impact-E PCIe Embedded System

Amplicon Impact-E PCIe embedded system

Amplicon announced the Impact-E PCIe embedded system. The fanless embedded PC is powered by an Intel Atom D525 dual-core processor. It is ideal for transportation, security, point of sales, laboratory automation, and industrial automation.

Amplicon Impact-E PCIe Features

  • Intel Atom D525 1.8 GHz Processor with 1M cache
  • 2GB SODIMM DDRII memory
  • Mechanical hard drive
  • Solid state drive support
  • Compact Flash
  • 2 x USB ports (front)
  • 4 x USB ports
  • 3 x serial ports
  • VGA port
  • Mic-in
  • Line out
  • Line in
  • Dual Gigabit LAN (10/100/1000Mbps ports)

The new Impact-E PCIe embedded can be configured with either four or eight COM port card that supports software selectable RS232/422/485.

The Impact-E PCIe can also be pre-fitted with Amplicon DAQ cards like the PCIe-236, or PCIe-296. These cards offer up to 96 flexible digital I/O channels with a 0 to +50VDC I/O range. This eliminates the additional cost of expensive signal conditioning equipment.

The Impact-E PCIe offers space for two 2.5″ hard drives or solid-state drives as well as an optional Compact Flash card. The embedded PC is enclosed in a fanless aluminium chassis that dissipates heat effectively. This ensures smooth operation in demanding of industrial environments.
