Moxa introduced their MiiNePort W1 embedded serial-to-wireless module. The MiiNePort W1 embedded wireless module provides IEEE 802.11 b/g wireless connectivity to serial devices. The new Moxa product is compact and consumes only 1.18W of power. The MiiNePort W1 serial-to-wireless module is ideal for industrial automation, RFID and smart green (solar power) applications.

The MiiNePort W1 embedded wireless module features Moxa’s NetEZ technology (EZPower) for variable 3.3 to 5 VDC system power input. In addition, the module includes operation modes like RealCOM mode and TCP server. The Moxa MiiNePort W1 offers complete driver support to reduce software redesign effort and accelerate time to market.

The new MiiNePort module has a temperature range (-40° to 85°C) that can withstand severe operating environments. It also features fast roaming technology to reduce handover times. In addition, the Moxa MiiNePort W1 embedded wireless module supports AES, WEP 64/128-bit, WPA, WPA2, PSK, and 802.11i.
