WinSystems Introduces PXM-GIGE Gigabit Ethernet Module

WinSystems PXM-GIGE Gigabit Ethernet module

WinSystems introduced their PXM-GIGE Gigabit Ethernet module. The PXM-GIGE is SUMIT-ISM compatible, and is designed for high-speed networking connectivity for small form factor, industrial embedded applications. The Gigabit Ethernet module supports Linux, Windows, and other x86-compatible real-time operating systems. Free drivers are available. The WinSystems PXM-GIGE board is available for $199 each.

The 90 x 96mm PXM-GIGE is based on the Intel 82573 controller. It connects to 10/100/1000 Mbps networks using standard Category 5 (CAT5) unshielded twisted pair (UTP) copper cables. The board offers a stackable PCI Express expansion on a PC/104 module with the addition of the industry-standard high-speed SUMIT connector. It plugs directly into the WinSystems PXM-C388-S 1.66HGz Atom N455-based single board computer. The module also supports other SUMIT-ISM compatible products.
