ADLINK Technology introduced the GIE64+ quad-port GigE vision frame grabber. The GIE64+ is a PCI Express x4 lane, PoE (Power Over Ethernet) frame grabber/network interface card. It supports four independent Gigabit Ethernet ports for multiple GigE Vision device connections with data transfer rates up to 1000 Mb/s, which is found with most GigE Vision cameras. ADLINK’s GIE64+ also features IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol, multi-channel synchronization and smart PoE application programming interface.
The ADLINK GIE64+ supports PCI Express x4 lane, four independent Gigabit Ethernet ports with data transfer rates up to 1 Gb/s, and GigE Vision camera compliance. The GIE64+ reduces cabling requirements by as much as 60%, significantly reducing maintenance burdens and boosting ease of use. The GIE64+ is ideal for manufacturing environments utilizing multi-camera acquisition.
By supporting IEEE 1588, the GIE64+ provides a software trigger mode for multi-camera synchronized captures. The GIE64+ utilizes a lone Ethernet cable for power supply, data transfer, and synchronization. In a typical 4-channel image system, the GIE64+ requires only four cables rather than the conventional twelve, representing a clear reduction in TCO (total cost of ownership).
The ADLINK GIE64+ vision frame grabber offers link aggregation, which increases double-speed networking by merging 2 Gigabit Ethernet pathways into a single connection. The board also includes an easy-to-read I/O-mounted LED display that provides PoE status for power monitoring. The GIE64+ supports Windows 7/XP.
