Kontron AM4120 AdvancedMC Processor Module

Kontron announced their AM4120 single-width AdvancedMC processor module. The AM4120 features the Freescale QorIQ P2020 Dual Core processor, up to 4GB RAM with ECC, redundant universal bootloader U-Boot, persistent memory, up to three GbE channels, and two RJ45 interfaces. The Kontron AM4120 module will be available in sample quantities this month. It is ideal for industrial automation, medical, networking, telecom, military transportation and avionics.

  • Freescale QorIQ P2020 dual core 1.2GHz processor

  • microSD card socket
  • Extended Temperature Range on project request
  • Useable in managed (with MCH) and unmanaged (without MCH) systems
  • Persistent memory for cycle data storage
  • Dedicated Module Management Controller (MMC)
  • 4x SERDES lines routed to AMC ports 4 – 7
  • Several boot options for the OS: Micro SDHC card, a NOR Flash, soldered NAND Flash
  • 2x RJ45 interfaces
  • Supports Bootloader U-Boot, IPMI, VxWorks 6.9 and Linux LTIB
