Mercury Computer Systems Ensemble OpenVPX LDS6521 and SBC3510 Modules

Mercury Computer Systems introduced the Ensemble Series OpenVPX LDS6521 and the OpenVPX SBC3510 modules. The 6U LDS6521 and 3U SBC3510 are based on the second generation Intel Core processor family. Mercury’s LDS6521 and SBC3510 are available in air-cooled and conduction-cooled rugged versions. The LDS6521 supports two XMC mezzanine sites, an Intel Core i7-2715QE processor, and supports (via POET) serial RapidIO Gen 1 and Gen 2 or low latency 10 Gigabit Ethernet to the backplane/dataplane. The SBC3510 combines a single XMC mezzanine site and a dual-core Intel Core i7-2655LE processor. The modules are ideal for ISR, defense, and aerospace applications.

  • One 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet connection can be routed to the front panel on air-cooled configurations or to the backplane on conduction-cooled configurations
  • One additional 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet connection routed to the backplane
  • Two 1000BASE-BX SERDES Ethernet connections routed to the backplane
  • Two DVI graphics interfaces: one routed to the front panel on air-cooled configurations only; the other routed to the backplane
  • One TIA-232 serial port routed to the front panel on air-cooled configurations, or to the backplane on conduction-cooled configurations
  • When routed to the backplane, the serial interface can be configured for either TIA-232 or TIA-422/TIA-485 signaling
