iWave Systems Technologies iW-RainboW-G9 Module

iWave Systems Technologies rolled out their iW-RainboW-G9 module. The iW-RainboW-G9 features Freescale’s Power Architecture, MPC864x processor, XMC/PrPMC, form factor, four Serial RapidIO / x8 PCI Express switched interconnects, Quad Gigabit Ethernet ports, and low latency. The board is available now. The iW-RainboW-G9 is ideal for embedded networking, routers, switches, industrial control, automation, general computing, embedded storag, and time-critical applications. The module can be used as a standalone development platform to reduce development time and lower costs.

  • Freescale MPC864x Processor @ 1GHz
  • Power Architecture e600 processor cores
  • Quad Gigabit Ethernet Ports to front panel or rear panel connector of the module
  • 4x Serial RapidIO / x8 PCI Express interface on XMC P15 Connector
  • Dual 64-bit DDR Memory controller supported with optional ECC (Configurable from 512MB to 2GB)
  • Up to 128MB NOR flash on Local bus controller
  • Bootable 16KB I2C EEPROM
  • UART Debug serial Port support
  • 5V and 3.3V Power input through PMC or XMC Interface
  • 5V Power input for Stand-Alone option
  • Form factor – 149mm x 74mm standard single-width XMC size
