Axiomtek rolled out the iCON-31000 series of industrial serial device servers. The Axiomtek iCON-31000 is an economical way to quickly network-enable any serial device in the harsh factory floor conditions. The iCON-31000 series is ideal for infrastructure deployments, such as building automation, oil field automation, factory automation, and ITS. The iCON-31000 industrial serial device servers are now available.
The iCON-31000 connects serial based equipment to high-speed Ethernet networks. Each serial device server can be DIN-rail or panel mounted and comes with terminal block and power-jack power inputs for a wider range of environment uses. The iCON-31000 can opearate from -10°C to +60°C.
The iCON-31100 series, single port serial device server, can connect RS-232/422/485 or isolated RS-422/485 serial devices to the industry standard 10/100Base-TX networks (100Base fiber optics connection is upon request). The iCON-31100 series offers serial-to-Ethernet connectivity in a variety of models: virtual COM, TCP server, TCP client, UDP and pair connection modes. By default, RFC2217 is enabled when using virtual COM or pair connection modes, and acts as an optional feature when using TCP server or TCP client mode.
To assure all critical data saved in different host PCs, and avoid Ethernet break or the failure of host PCs, the iCON-31100 series can also simultaneously transfer data into 8 host PCs. The iCON-31100 series hosts a point-and-click web-based interface that lets user access full configuration and functionality of the serial server from an Internet browser.
