Portwell CAR-4000 1U Network Communications Appliance

American Portwell Technology announced the CAR-4000 1U Platform Communications Appliance. The CAR-4000 is based on the quad-core Intel Xeon processor 3400 series (formerly codenamed Lynnfield) or Intel Core i5 or Core i3 processor (formerly codenamed Clarkdale). The CAR-4000 is ideal for security applications such as Enterprise Internet Security, Firewall, WAN optimization, Unified Threat Management, Network Access Control, Network Behavior Analysis and Triple Play broadcasting for both the enterprise and medium-sized offices.
