STEVAL-MKI062V1 and STEVAL-MKI062V2 Inertial Measurement Modules

The STMicroelectronics STEVAL-MKI062V1 and STEVAL-MKI062V2 are the first members of the iNEMO family of multi-sensor Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) devices. iNEMO inertial measurement unit devices feature 10 degrees of freedom (DOF), 3-axis sensing of linear, angular and magnetic motion with temperature and barometer/altitude readings, a 32-bit processing unit, and a dedicated software in a single package. The modules contain a memory card socket for data logging and dedicated connectors for wired/wireless connectivity, including USB, ZigBee, or GPS.

STEVAL-MKI062V1 iNEMO
The ST STEVAL-MKI062V1 iNEMO module integrates six different sensors and a 32-bit microcontroller. It is available as a 4.5×5 cm evaluation board with a firmware library, a PC Graphical User Interface, and a set of software solutions for different applications. It is a 10-DOF inertial system. The kit includes a PC GUI for sensor output display and a firmware library to facilitate the use of the demonstration board features. A complete set of communication interfaces (USB, wireless, COM), small 4.5 x 5 cm size, and several power supply options make it a flexible and open evaluation platform.

STEVAL-MKI062V2 iNEMO
The STEVAL-MKI062V2 runs a sensor fusion algorithm (attitude heading reference system) to provide static and dynamic orientation and inertial measurements. It features five ST sensors: a 2-axis roll-and-pitch gyroscope (LPR430AL), a single-axis yaw gyroscope (LY330ALH), a 6-axis geomagnetic module (LSM303DLH), a pressure sensor (LPS001DL), and a temperature sensor (STLM75). All the sensors and the AHRS algorithm are managed by an on-board STM32 microcontroller. The STEVAL-MKI062V2 module includes a 4x4cm evaluation board, firmware, and software. It will be available for volume orders in the second quarter.
