Microchip PICDEM Inductive Touch Development Kit
Microchip Technology introduced the PICDEM Inductive Touch Development Kit, which is an evaluation and development platform for Microchip’s Inductive Touch technology. The PICDEM Inductive Touch Development Kit features a fully-developed inductive-touch board, complete with embossed metal front panel, source code, schematics and a diagnostic software tool that enables designers to evaluate their application. The kit is available for for $69.99.

PICDEM Inductive Touch Development Kit enables engineers to develop inductive touch-sensing applications using standard 8-, 16- or 32-bit PIC microcontrollers (MCUs), or 16-bit dsPIC Digital Signal Controller (DSCs). Factory programmed firmware provides immediate access to all the board’s features through the use of the MPLAB mTouch plug-in. Using a PICkit Serial Analyzer to communicate with the PC, it allows the user to analyze application critical information in real-time as it relates to sensor behavior.
